Our Teams

Bella is a Black Mouth Cur mix. She was born in April 2016 and joined DEAR in 2023. Bella loves walks, kids, treats, and -- most of all -- belly rubs!  She tries hard to keep her back yard squirrel-free, and relaxes by napping in the sun. 

Bentley is a Chihuahua/Poodle/Mutt mix. He was born on December 23, 2017 and joined DEAR in 2026. Whether it’s hiking through the mountains or curling up for a cozy nap, Bentley is always ready for an adventure! He loves watching squirrels, listening to music, and giving the very best snuggles. Bentley has a gentle heart and a calm personality, and he especially loves making new friends. 

Chewie is a Pomsky. He was born on March 4, 2021 and joined DEAR in 2025. Chewie loves cuddles, attention, food, treats, and naps! He is always ready to charm visitors with his playful nature, and he relaxes by finding the comfiest lap available.

Eggplant is a Pug. She was born on July 21, 2023.  She joined DEAR in 2025.  When not causing chaos with her pug sisters, Amani and Indy, Eggplant loves going on walks, running like crazy at the park (she's super fast!), learning new things, and going to play groups with some of her small dog friends.  She enjoys meeting new people, loves to be held, and loves to cuddle in your lap.  Her favorite treats are blueberries! 

Eliot is a Golden Retriever. He was born on January 31, 2020.  Eliot joined DEAR in 2025. He is a very happy, sweet, mellow dog who loves all people. Eliot enjoys his daily long walks in the country, especially when he meets other dogs who will play with him or other people who will pet him. He also enjoys chasing his frisbee in the backyard, rolling in the cool summer grass and cold winter snow, hiking with his parents, and swimming whenever he is near a lake or stream.  

Hazel is a Labrador Retriever. She was born on April 26, 2019 and joined DEAR in 2025. She also makes weekly visits to the hospital, and has comforted people in memory care and hospice as well. She is a gentle, sweet soul who loves to swim, go for long walks, go for rides, and play with her "brother". She gets very excited to meet new people and loves kids of all ages! Her whole body wags when she meets new people or when someone just talks to her.  

Mia is an Australian Labradoodle. She was born on February 6, 2019 and joined DEAR in 2025. She absolutely loves people, chasing squirrels, going for long walks, and snuggling up on one of her many beds -- including that of her humans. Mia likes doing tricks for treats and she has been in two books.

Pixel is a Chow Chow/Australian Cattle Dog mix. She was born on July 17, 2016 and joined DEAR in 2023. The spots that cover Pixel look a lot like pixie dust which is why the name Pixel came to mind. Pixel loves to play with her sassy puppy sister Marzi, cuddles, and especially loves showing at dog shows. Pixel won the 2021 Colorado junior grand champion in showmanship. She is also fond of hiking, watching squirrels for hours, and riding on paddle boards.  

Skjegg is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix. He was born in July 2016, adopted in early 2019, and joined DEAR in late 2019. Pronounced "sh"+ "egg", his name is the Norwegian word for beard in honor of the prominent one he bears. He loves soft squeaky toys and takes very good care of his collection. Skjegg is the neighborhood greeter and says hello to everyone that passes by when he and his handler are out in the yard.

Zeke is an English Cream Golden Retriever. He was born on July 5, 2022 and joined DEAR in 2026.  Zeke cherishes his Golden energy and loves to share it with his dog and human friends! When he’s not playing, he also enjoys a frozen peanut butter Kong, rolling in the grass, sunbathing on the patio, and long naps. Zeke uses special cues like “nudge” and “show me” to assist his hard-of-hearing handler with her phone and alarms.
